Employers are required to provide employees with information about unemployment insurance
if they have worked for an eligible employer during the 18 months prior
and are currently unemployed or working part time. The Employment
Security Law of Arizona establishes the eligibility requirements for
the payment of unemployment insurance benefits in the State of Arizona.
An unemployed worker's eligibility for benefits is based upon:
Monetary Eligibility - Wages earned in Arizona's Base Period from employers subject to the law, and
Nonmonetary Eligibility - Reason for separation from the last employer as well as other eligibility requirements;
such as being able to work, available for work, and seeking full-time employment. |
