The new NLRA notice comes with a mandatory size
requirement of 11” x 17”. Who is exempt from the NLRA Notice?Most
private employers are required to post the NLRA Poster. The law
specifically excludes public sector employees, agricultural and
domestic workers, independent contractors, workers employed by a parent
or spouse, and employees of air and rail carriers covered by the
Railway Labor Act.

Georgia minimum wage is $5.15 per hour, but employees are entitled to $7.25 per hour under the federal minimum wage law. Georgia smoke-free air act prohibits smoking inside most public places and outlines specific guidelines for allowing smoking in and around establishments that serve the public. Georgia has no overtime law at the state level, although most employees are entitled to overtime after 40 hours under federal law. *
Georgia requires all employers with 10 or more employees to utilize the
E-Verify system. This is for all employers, not just public employers
and contractors.
Effective Dates:
January 1, 2012 for employers with 500 or more employees.
July 1, 2012 for employers with 100 or more, but fewer then 500, employees.
July 1, 2013 for employers with 10 or more, but fewer then 100, employees.
