The new NLRA notice comes with a mandatory size
requirement of 11” x 17”. Who is exempt from the NLRA Notice?Most
private employers are required to post the NLRA Poster. The law
specifically excludes public sector employees, agricultural and
domestic workers, independent contractors, workers employed by a parent
or spouse, and employees of air and rail carriers covered by the
Railway Labor Act.

The Indiana minimum wage is $7.25. Under Indiana law, employers who are exempt from Federal Labor Standards Act must pay at least 1.5 times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked over 40 in a work week. Minors 16 years of age are restricted to 8 hours per school day and 30 hours per week. No work before 6:00 a.m. for 16 year old minors. Workers under the age of 18 must also be accompanied by a co-worker who is at least 18 years old age when working after 10:00 p.m. and before 6:00 a.m. in an establishment that is open to the public. Workers under age 18 must also receive one or two breaks totaling 30 minutes when scheduled to work 6 or more consecutive hours.*
