The new NLRA notice comes with a mandatory size
requirement of 11” x 17”. Who is exempt from the NLRA Notice?Most
private employers are required to post the NLRA Poster. The law
specifically excludes public sector employees, agricultural and
domestic workers, independent contractors, workers employed by a parent
or spouse, and employees of air and rail carriers covered by the
Railway Labor Act.

Louisiana does not have a minimum wage law. Louisiana employees are however covered by the Federal Minimum Wage Law. Minors under the age of 18 years must have employment certificate issued by the city to work. No minors under the age of 16 years can be employed more than 8 hours in any one day,nor more than six consecutive days in any one week, nor more than 40 hours in any one week. Louisiana law forbids genetic discrimination and limits genetic testing in the workforce. Employers have duties to inform employees of the time at hire what the wage rate will be and how often they will get paid.*
