Current Federal Minimum Wage: $7.25 effective July 24, 2009
Military Leave Notice: The Military Leave Notice was recently added to the mandatory federal labor law posting requirements due to the amended Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) that went into effect January 28th, 2008.
Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) Notice: Each employer shall provide to persons entitled to rights and benefits under USERRA a notice of the rights, benefits, and obligations of such person and such employers under USERRA. (This is a mandatory notification, not posting.)
Job Safety and Health Protection Labor Law Poster: Private employers engaged in a business affecting commerce. Does not apply to federal, state or political subdivisions of states.
Equal Employment Opportunity is The Law: Every employer covered by the non-discrimination and EEO laws is required to post on its premises the poster, "Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law." The notice must be posted prominently, where it can be readily seen by employees and applicants for employment.
Your Rights Under The Family and Medical Leave Act: Every employer covered by the FMLA is required to post and keep posted on its premises, in conspicuous places where employees are employed, whether or not it has any "eligible" employees, a notice explaining the Act's revisions and providing information concerning the procedures for filing complaints of violations of the Act with the Wage and Hour Division. The notice must be posted prominently where it can be readily seen by employees and applicants for employment.
Employee Polygraph Protection Act: Under the Act, the Secretary of Labor is directed to distribute a notice of the Act's protections, to issue rules and regulations, and to enforce the provisions of the Act. The Act empowers the Secretary of Labor to bring injunctive actions in U.S. district courts to restrain violations, and to assess civil money penalties up to $10,000 against employers who violate any provision of the Act. Employers are required to post notices summarizing the protections of the Act in their places of work.
Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA): GINA is a law passed by congress to prohibit use of genetic information used by employers for discrimination purposes. This legislation also ban employers from using genetic information when making a decision to hire employees, job promotions, or firing. This act gives protection from genetic discrimination as genetic information technology continues to advance in the future of biomedical research.
